Privacy Notice

(Why I collect your data and what I do with it)

 1.    I need to collect your personal information in order to provide you with the best possible care. By requesting treatment and my agreement to provide that care constitutes a contract.  You can of course refuse to provide this information but that will mean I can not treat you.

2.     I have a legitimate interest in collecting that information in order to treat you safely and effectively.

3.    I will use your information in order to contact you regarding your appointments, and to update you on matters related to your medical care.

4.    Provided I have your consent I may occasionally send you general health information in the form of articles or advice. You may always withdraw this consent.

I have a legal obligation to keep your records for 8 years but after this time you can request that I delete them.

Your records are stored on paper, in a locked filing cabinet, or on a locked computer cloud program only accessible by myself, by password, using a specialist medical record service. This program assures us it is GDPR compliant. I also store your phone number on my phone which is also passcode protected.

I will never share your data with anyone without your written consent.

You have a right to see what personal details and data I hold at any time.  I want you to be confident that I am treating your data responsibly. If you are not happy you of course have the right to complain.
